No public Exchange 2003 RC releases

Recommended Posts

I have heard that Microsoft will be not be having a public release of the Exchange 2003 RC's, that the next widely available version is going to be the RTM version which is supposed to be announced during TechEd 2003. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks

That really stinks. Do you know any reasons why they are not going to have a public RC cycle? With the next version of Office being pushed back I can imagine that took off the pressure in rushing Exchange out the door and they have a little more breathing room. Sure would be nice to have a refresh to look at while waiting for the released version.

That is the problem, I am running beta 2 but would like a newer build to see if it fixes a few things I am having problems with, namely OMA and Exchange ActiveSync, two new things to 2003 that I have not had experience with before.

Guess it's time to hunt down that RC1 that was leaked weeks ago...

I'm running RC1 and it seems to be pretty stable. Only issues I am having are with Outlook 2003 which seems to like crashing a lot and isn't very good with Exchange 2003 at the moment :s

Hmm, strange... for whats it's worth, I'm using Outlook 11 (2003) on Exchange 2003 (beta2) with no probs at all. I actually think it all works very well together...

I agree, I am running Outlook 11 and Exchange 2003 beta 2 and it is running great. The main problems I have are getting my PocketPC to use OMA or to sync with Exchange ActiveSync, neither one works and I have yet to find anyone that has tried it and has it working right.
