Trying to run any .net framework program.. on 4015

why wouldn't it be?

the only reason i can think that this would come up is because longhorn will probably have a new version of the .net framework, perhaps 2.0, already partially integrated...

I think that error was pretty self explanatory: Longhorn doesn't ship with the .NET framework 1.0. No windows version ships with 1.0, actually, and by the time Longhorn is finished I believe that it will include either 2.0 or 3.0. Whatever it (avalon) is now, it's not 1.0, or 1.1.

If you have an app that requires the .NET Framework 1.0 and you want to run it on Longhorn and it comes with a program.exe.config file (and you know how to do a bit of XML editing), you can change the config file so that it will run on the Framework that ships with Longhorn.

There's a slim chance that that will break the app however.
