im looking for a good voice (for english, male preferred but if its a good sounding female one thats good aswell)
for pc or mac
who offers the most realistic TTS voice?

The Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice Text-to-Speech system is pretty good.

Alex is in 10.5 or greater:

To make him speak, in Terminal:

say insert text here

or any other text field:

And to create a recording of Alex from a text file, in Terminal:

say -v Alex -f ~/Desktop/yourtextfile.txt -o ~/Desktop/yourtextfile.aiff

Crystalvoice or Nuance is very good..

Loquendo too
