Finally got round to watching this the other day, I thought episode 1 and 3 were great but the second episode was a bit crap.
If you mean the first season then yes ;)

Are you referring to the second episode of season one (titled "The Blind Banker")? I thought that was the worst episode of the entire series. For the most part, it was enjoyable but it was no where near as good as the other episodes. I liked the ending though.

The actor that plays  Moriarty  is brilliant.

And here's what we've been waiting for - the three words that describe the episodes of Sherlock series three - Rat, Wedding, Bow. That's RAT. WEDDING. BOW. What does it mean?! Get Googling!

I am looking forward to that actually, just to see what their slant on the story is with a female Watson

Sherlock pushed back to Late 2013/Early 2014

Quote

Start of production on the third cycle of the fan-adored detective drama has been moved from January to March. Sources say the shift was necessary to accommodate the busy schedules of the show’s breakout stars, Benedict Cumberbatch (who’s filming Star Trek 2) and Martin Freeman (starring in The Hobbit).

The BBC has not announced a premiere date for season three, but given that January was previously announced as the start of production, fans were expecting to see Holmes and Watson return in the summer. Sources say the BBC will air Sherlock series three in late 2013. PBS has to wait until after the BBC’s window. A PBS spokesperson says Sherlock will air either late 2013 — or early 2014.

My wife and I watched both series' a few months ago and loved them. Episode two of each seems to be the weakest of the bunch, but the show is superb. Bummed about the delay, but we're excited about the possibilities.
