I agree with you Ayepecks Nicholas Cage & Chloe Moretz definitely carried it for lack of quality on the part of Aaron Johnson. But to be honest I thought that it was more of an intention to portray him more as a loser type that was in a world he didn't belong.

I loved this film. Much better then I expected, definitely a 10/10. I bet the parents of Chloe were cringing at some her language hehe but I thought her acting was brilliant.

Ps. Anyone know the tune when

Spoiler

Thats, Strobe (Adagio in D Minor) by John Murphy found on the Kick Ass Score.

I actually think Aaron does great. I mean, either that or he actually sucks at acting (in which case the merit would go to the casting) but he fits the character anyway.

No, he sucked at acting like a character who was a fly on the wall. Not popular, not unpopular. It was painful to watch.

I actually really liked this movie. I especially like how they protrayed Nick Cage as not actually caring about his daughter and just treating her nice to accomplish his goals, and then you find out that he really did care for her. I think that was very well done. I would give this movie an honest 8/10 (which is a very high mark from me) and I hope there's going to be a sequel, though I can't see how it would be as good.

I wasn't especially looking forward to this, but after seeing it, it might end up as one of my favorite movies this year.

We're lucky Nicholas cage didn't destroy the movie just by being in it. When in fact to my surprise I loved him 2nd to hit girl in the movie and thought he was a total bad ass and actually didn't want to see him die.

I had my doubts before going in to see it but overall it is a fun film. Especially when you consider that it is one of the most expensive home videos ever made, funding largely out of the directors pocket. Yet those are the kind of risks you've got to admire. Someone who pitched an idea. It didn't go through but went out to make it anyways. It was funny and had a lot of "in" jokes for us geek crowd.
