Best movie ever. This movie is a love letter to every thing I love. Definitely worth seeing in 3D IMAX. Nearly a two and a half hour play time and didn't feel one second of it. I was glued to my seat the whole time and my heart was pounding an hour after it was done. I can not possibly give it a higher recommendation. JUST GO SEE IT.

Luke - Ruined in Last Jedi - emo, mopey, out of character behavior and inglorious death. Han - Went from a "Take no crap from anyone, least of all a woman or a droid scoundrel" to literally bitched slapped by every woman and droid in Solo. Leia - Ruined in Last Jedi - Carrie Poppins Yoda - Ruined in attack of the clones, breaks his epicness by getting into a pointless lightsaber fight for the fan boys when his force powers should be much more. Lando - Now a pansexual who's trying to get into relationships with a droid. Makes you think he was having fun with Lobot(the bald cyborg in ESB) Darth/Anakin - Ruined in prequels - annoying kid then an emo …

5 out of 5 I went into this movie knowing nothing, I had not even watched the trailer. All I knew of this movie was from a photo on the side of an Amazon box. I was blown away!! One of the best movies I've seen recently. The Songs, Acting, sets, costumes, and choreography were all fantastic. So if you have not seen it yet I highly recommend you watch it.

I was really disappointed with this movie ,I give maybe 4 out of 10. The sad part is that the trailer is the whole movie, in 2 minutes. The acting and overall story was full of wholes and let more questions then answers.

2016 Ghostbusters Tomatometer: I am SHOCKED!
by benjamine6- 20 replies

I expected, and all of my friends expected, and most of the commenters on the trailer videos expected that the new Ghostbusters REBOOT would get a big fat zero or only a tiny slimmer higher on Rotten tomatoes' Tomatometer. BUT... I recieved a reply to go check the tomatometer, And to my shock, early ratings put it at a 74/100! Holy crap! So.. I assume it might actually be good...? I don't know. I can't even believe what i'm saying.

Steve Jobs

2 / 5 So I watched the movie "Steve Jobs" last night, what a snooze fest! It was a horrible movie. It wasn't even very historically accurate. When it was first announced that Michael Fassbender (or Fenderbender as I call him) was going to play Steve Jobs, I was like ....WTF. Well, after watching the movie that is still my opinion on that casting choice ...WTF. My dad after watching it made a very good observation. Almost the entire movie takes place 30 mins before some big announcement / keynote. My dad asked, "Did all the important things happen behind stage before the big announcements" It was so stupid. What a waste of what could have been …

2013 After Earth

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1815862/?ref_=nv_sr_1 It's official. After Earth does not suck. It was actually pretty good. I mean I wouldn't give it a 5 out of 5 more like a 3 out of 5 but you'd think it was a 1 out of 5 judging what people are saying about it. Over all I enjoyed myself watching it in my theater :)

ESPN rebroadcast their sponsored short film "I Still Hate Christian Laettner" from their "30 for 30" short-film series. While I didn't hate Laettner per se, I didn't exactly have much love for Duke (or their coach, Mike Krysevski). Still, from interviews IN the short with several "haters" (not just of Laettner, or even of Duke), it put things in perspective. 1. Duke is a Catholic private university in the worker-bee/Protestant (mostly Baptist/Lutheran/Methodist) South. 2. Duke had a largely-non-Black starting lineup. Never mind that the starters - regardless of color - could play their butts off (that IS a trend among those that play for Coach K; however, tha…

Blended (2014)

I went in with very low expectations, in fact I waited a while to even see it. But after I did, I can I was pleasantly surprised. In fact I don't really understand what all the hate is about. As far as rating this movie, I have decided that 1 rating scale doesn't fit all movies. I can't rate a mindless action movie 1 - 5 and also give the same rating 1 - 5 to a thought provoking academy award winning movie. So i'll rate Blended for what is, an enjoyable sit back and relax and some times touching comedy. For that I give it a..

Interstellar and Guardians of the Galaxy
by tuckeratlarge- 11 replies

Watched both Interstellar and Guardians of the Galaxy. Interstellar is a bag of crap that's trying too hard to be a modern 2001: A Space Odyssey... that's 2:45hrs of my life I'm not getting back as it doesn't hold a candle to a classic like 2001. Guardians on the other hand, a brilliant, funny, clever, comic book romp that was frankly too short and makes me hanker after Guardians 2. I'd give Interstellar 5/10 and Guardians 9/10

How to Train Your Dragon 2

I took my daughter to see this today thinking it would be an above average animated film given the quality of the first one. I don;t want to say I was blown away by it but I can't stop gushing about it to my wife. It was not only a great animated film but a great film in it's own right with excellent animation, sound and use of 3D. Most surprising was some of the content. I actually got choked up a couple of times! Anyways, I recommend this one for sure, 4.5 out of 5.

There's a lot of gay jokes. The ending is hilarious one of the best movies ive seen this year. 10 stars+ I wonder how many people will get the Benny Hill joke

Just saw an advanced screening of A million ways to die in the west in Gilbert, AZ. The new movie from Seth mcfarlan (family guy). There's a lot of stars and cameos. It's hard to give a review without giving away the jokes. The movie takes place in arizona, in 1882. Rather than being a romantic movie on the old west, its the opposite. Everyone hates it in the old west. There really isnt a plot, just nonstop gags. Liam Nesion plays the bad guy, but you rarely see him. He has this brad irish accent. Overall it's too long...the romantic dialogue drags the movie on. The jokes are good. The ending is a little trippy. Reminded me a lot of a harold and kumar m…

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
by Chicane-UK- 13 replies

Kind of surprised that I'm the first person to post this thread? I had fairly moderate expectations for the film. Whilst not a huge fan of the source books (I've read them all once, years ago) I did enjoy Lord of the Rings purely for the scale of the films and how ambitious they were - and of course how well executed they were. I was less positive about The Hobbit because of reading some negative reviews, and also because I felt with such a small book, I couldn't understand why the film was being turned into three movies when two would probably have been ample. I also felt concerned reading various op-ed pieces about this whole 48fps thing, and was doubtful that Martin…

Gravity (2D) (2013) 1 2
by riahc3- 36 replies

Hello, Saw Gravity today in 2D. A good movie is not based on how good it looks in 3D. Ive seen this today in Gravity. You have only two main actors in the film (glad Robert Downey Jr. backed out of this film) and none of them really add anything to the film. Almost at all. Clooney tells stories and thats it and Sandra goes from always scared to this brave joking making first timer. The plot: A missle launches into a sat and causes all this? Ive seen some backstories to some plots but this...at least its better than Grown-Ups 2 :p Anyways, I dont know if this looks awesome in 3D (problably does) but films IMO are like games: It isnt all about the graphics. 2 ou…

Haven't watched the original one, yet, but whats worth mentioning is that three of my friends say that this one is tons better than the first one, and more often than not, I tend to agree with their judgment on movies. Violent, unforgettable, amazing, colorful, chaotic, and filled with one of the best performances of the year 9.25 out of 10

Hello, Alot of people compare this film to The Hangover.....it really has nothing to do with it at all... Great over all cast and Mary Steenburgen really compliments the characters/stories really well. Now could it do a part 2? Depends. I give it a 7 out of 10.

The Internship (2013)

Hello, I just saw The Internship. It was a OK film. A lot of critics say it was a "Google ad" but basically the movie was about a internship at Google: Did they actually expect Google not to appear in the film? BTW, my favorite part of the film was the Google touch: . Having said that, it was a OK film; You have to really be tech orientated to understand some jokes or references. Its not a everybody film. Ill give it a 7/10 and thats because I like tech.

Hello, Good action sequences, great setup for the next X-Men movie (Jean Gray/Phenoix will problably be involved), Jackman does the role IMO great. The only but to this film (yes I know where it is filmed) is that there is WAY TOO MUCH dialog in Japanese. Yes, I know it helps it seem more realistic but too much dialog. 7.5/10
