Today Google's successful web browser, Google Chrome turns 2 years old.

I was very hesitant at first, but when I did the switch to Chrome earlier this year, I haven't looked back!

edit: And what do you know - I just checked for an update, and it updated itself to 6.0! Wohoo =D

I think this belongs in Back Page News, so I'm moving it.

It's weird but I don't think chrome should have a birthday even though I use it.

It's good and all, but my installation is broken. Maybe I should completely uninstall it and reinstall it.

But for now I'm using Firefox 4.0 b4. Like it. (Y)

It still looks super out of place on my desktop (which runs Windows 2003 with the classic UI), but I've taken a liking to it on my Windows 7 machines. Doesn't hit the HDD as much as IE does, and doesn't eat CPU as much as Firefox. Efficiency is a good thing. :)

Regardless, Happy Birthday Chrome, keep lighting the fire under the asses of Firefox and Internet Explorer!

Still using FF as my main browser, Chrome is a good backup though!

Absolutely true.

Chrome is definately the most welcome browser of the last 2 years! :)

It was a good thing for Google to get more competition into the desktop browser market. And they could do it by using their online ad monopoly.
