Much better than the ancient print screen tool I've always used. Honestly I'm sold, this looks a lot better and will finally make Aero screenshots look the way they were meant to.

What are the limitations of the free version?

Fully-functional, No limit, Persional use

"general-purpose System, Design, File, Desktop and Develop utility."

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!

Capture .NET is a swiss army knife of pc tools.

Includes many helpful tools:

Capture Screen/Image Editor/Capture Color/Post-It/Screen Clock/Screen Calender/Screen Reminder/

Screen Ruler/Screen Pencil/Screen Magnifier/Converter/Backup Expert/Quick Launch/World Clock/Timer

...and much more(Fulllist / Testimonials).

All-In-One, Multlanguage, Free, Simple and Standalone

Capture .NET has been in development for 8 years(since 2003)

If you want to take a real quick screen shot, and upload it instantly to share, check out http://gyazo.com/en

I keep this pinned to my task bar now, has been really handy.

Obviously it's not for the same purpose as Capture .NET or WindowClippings

When I tried it now, it is very slow to start. I think I'm sticking with WindowClippings. 3.0 just came out.

It is a .NET application not Win32 app

Any .NET application will take some time to load the first time.

If you close it and immediately open it again, it loads much faster.

I realize this, I am a .NET developer myself. However, having launched it several times, I can't say as I've ever had a .NET application launch this slowly. If I had the time (And desire), I'd look to see what's causing it, but I can fathom a guess that it likely has something to do with the skinning they've implemented (And all the transparencies that certainly don't help matters either.) Possibly a lot going on in the Form_Load event as opposed to Form_Shown? Not sure. But speed wasn't a chief concern apparently.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
