Tips for staying awake for 30-40 hours?

Recommended Posts

take a nap a few hour sbefor eyou log into wow if you can

drink black coffee but not too much too fast. maybe 1 large cup depending on how often you drink coffee normally every 3-5 hours. otherwise if you drink to much too often you will get a buzz, get jittery and anxious, adn then literally fall asleep standing up after about 4-6 hours when teh coffee wears off.

or alternatively drink a few redbulls spaced out by a bout an hour and it will be hard to fall asleep until like 4 am.

oh i realized you want to stay up even longer than my suggestions make sense for . i dunno 60-% pure coacaine or methamphetamine maybe? ;)

why are you staying awake all monday night? that would be the best time to get some extra shut eye for extra long grind sessions all week or until you hit 85. go to bed early and wake up late if possible and then stay up for as long as you schedule permits.'

edit: oh wait 2am tuesday MONRING? just go to bed early tonight then take a nap when you get home from class for a couple hours if you can. then make a pot of coffee around 10pm monday night or buy an 8pack of redbull and drink 2 and save a 3rd or 4th one til the servers go live.

keep your energy level high

eat multiple times throughout the day. eat food that is healthy for you, protein, fibre, **** like that. no mctrash, bk, jack in the box, sonic burgers, etc etc

oh, and no hardcore drinking or you'll just be ****ing everything up and pass out

Don't do it. You'll feel horrible in class and won't learn anything. It'll take a few days before you fully recover. All in all you'll be sacrificing a lot of quality, productive time for a few extra hours of WoW.

sleep you plank, seriously you're life cannot revolve around one game

Go to church if you want to preach. Nothing wrong with a major play session every year and a half when a new expansion comes out.

What I would say is to catch some sleep before the release. Are you picking it up at a store or do you have digital delivery? If you are doing digital, just sleep til 1:50, wake up, play WoW. If you're picking it up at the store, sleep til just before 12, then go buy it. No sense in waiting in the line to buy it when you can't play til 2am anyway.

Here on the east coast, its 3am. Stores open at 8. Much better decision to get the night of rest, pick it up at 8 and then rock out until you pass out from there.

stick needles in your eyes, and anywhere else you can think of, that way you will stay awake. Either that or wait until you wake up naturally and get it then. NO GAME IS WORTH STAYING UP FOR IN ORDER TO PLAY!!!

    • Good move IMHO no matter who is running the administration. We need checks and balances on this stuff especially concerning bleeding edge models. China and others that depend greatly on stolen IP will weaponize it ASAP if they get access. The same effort needs to be applied by the SEC concerning all of this circular funding of AI companies and BS financial reporting as well.
    • Microsoft kills AI-powered history search feature in Edge by Usama Jawad In June 2025, Microsoft began rolling out AI-powered history search functionality with Edge 138. The idea was simple: allow customers to use natural language phrases and synonyms to find their desired history items rather than matching keywords exactly. Although the company had already rolled out this capability in a phased manner, it has now decided to cancel it. In an update on its Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft has announced that it has decided not to move forward with AI-powered history search. The company has not detailed the exact reasoning behind this move, but it has apologized to customers for the inconvenience. The move is rather interesting as it seemingly could have improved user productivity. Edge users wouldn't have to worry about typos or exact keywords, and just focus on what they were trying to locate in their browser history. Microsoft had also assured users that an on-device AI model would be leveraged for this functionality, and no data would be sent to the cloud. IT admins also had the ability to control its availability through the EdgeHistoryAISearchEnabled policy. When the feature began rolling out last year, many of our readers called it creepy, noting that they couldn't trust Microsoft to keep their data on their device. Others also questioned its usefulness, saying that it's simply a way for Microsoft to insert more AI bloat into its products. Although the Redmond tech giant had stated that it will be more mindful about surfacing Copilot features in Windows 11 apps, we later discussed how this is mostly a rebranding exercise rather than an actual axing of AI functionalities. Indeed, a Microsoft executive later emphasized how they want to reshape Windows for the agentic AI era. That said, it does seem like at least AI-powered Edge history search isn't a part of that vision.
