Yeah, I watched the Klitschko/Solis fight. Such a shame it ended like that. Solis looked like he could actually beat Klitschko, then at the end of the very first round, his leg goes. :(

yeah I really thought it would be his first big test and that happens...he looked ****ed as well that Solis couldn't go...what a tool! and even his entrance was so egotastic its unreal!

I really don't think Haye knows whats coming!

should be good! a british guy fighting for a world title!

Which one?

Boxing needs to take a page of the Zuffa playbook and get their organizations together. The UFC champion is the champion and he is the champion. That's it.

yeah the divisions are a joke but Boxing as a whole is a joke...there are only a few boxers I will watch

As much as I can't stand David Haye, I really want to see him topple the Klitschko brothers so that we can have some sort of refresh in the what is a joke of a HW division. I still find it hard to believe that no one can even come close to these guys. Amazing what the HW division has come to after the good old days of Ali, Foreman, Bruno, Tyson and Lewis - All the way to this! In the past it was pretty much all about the HW division, now it's just nothing but a bore!

There are only really 3 divisions that really seem to have any form of developing interest.

Super-middle: The Super 6 Tournament did well to boost interest in this division and some of the potential fights are exciting prospects.

Light-middle/Welter: Whilst Pacquiao is there, there will always be interest. But fans are getting bored of seeing him steamroll the division over and over. There is one fight everyone wants to see. It has the possibility of being boxing's biggest payday ever. Just get in the damn ring with Manny! I'm talking to you Floyd!

Light-welter: Khan vs Maidana was easily fight of the year for 2010 and as much as everyone wants to see a rematch, I'd rather and I think the bigger payday will be a unification bout between Khan and Bradley.

Other than those areas, it just seems nothing is exciting in boxing anywhere.

IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko says he will knock out David Haye in the 12th round of their title fight this summer.

Ukraine fighter Klitschko, 34, takes on WBA champion Haye, 30, on either 25 June or 2 July in a unification bout.

He told BBC Radio 5 live: "I will definitely enjoy the fight for 12 rounds. Eventually, in the 12th round, I will knock him out.

"David - just get in the ring. Don't find an excuse, just get in the ring."

Klitschko, whose brother Vitali retained his WBC heavyweight title by knocking out Cuba's former Olympic champion Odlanier Solis at the weekend, was originally going to fight Haye in 2009.

But Haye, who plans to retire before his 31st birthday in October, had to pull out with a back injury.

Talks to rearrange the fight stalled last December with the two camps wrangling over the details of the contest.

Now that the fight has finally been agreed, Klitschko says he is looking forward to taking on the Brit.

"David Haye thinks that Vitali is the toughest one," he added. "That's why he's taking on the younger brother - because he's not that tough. That's why he chose me.

"You know what? I'm so scared of David Haye. He says he's going to take out my jab; so, I will really feed him with the jab - jab jab grab, jab jab grab, grab, and eventually the right missile is going to land on his chin or his temple or whatever it is.

"So I'm sorry guys, but David Haye will get knocked out."

Klitschko had to pull out of a fight with British boxer Dereck Chisora earlier this month because of a stomach injury, and he will have to prove his fitness by the beginning of May for the fight with Haye to go ahead.

The two camps are still working on the details of the bout, with an announcement of the venue expected some time in April.

Wladimir - Bro could step in

Wladimir Klitschko is optimistic of overcoming injury to be fit to face David Haye in the summer, but has confirmed elder brother Vitali would step into the ring in his absence.

Question marks have been raised over whether the IBF and WBO holder will shake off an abdominal complaint for the mid-summer fight with WBA champion Haye.

The Ukrainian has twice pulled out of a proposed fight with Dereck Chisora, and speculation is mounting Wladimir's elder brother Vitali will take his place for the June 25/July 2 blockbuster.

Haye has made it clear he will quit boxing when he turns 30 in October, meaning the pressure is on Wladimir to prove his fitness before May when a deadline has been set by the Londoner's camp.

But the 34-year-old claims he will start preparations for his fight against Haye in a couple of weeks.

He told BBC Radio: "I'm still recovering after my injury and in a couple of weeks I will be fit and ready for the preparations."

However, the back-up plan is still on the agenda as he added: "If I can't perform then my brother will step in the ring because he's been in this division a very long time.

"I'm very happy that David Haye eventually signed the contract, it will be the third time we've tried to fight each other.

"He says we have no skills and have fought basically no-one...I think he chose me as the younger brother because he does not think I'm so tough. But he will get knocked out."

Three German football stadiums are leading the race to host the big fight, but other European cities are also believed to be in the running, including Monte Carlo.

Amir Khan vs Mckloskey on some random channel now after Box Office ditched it and so did Sky Sports!

Amir Khan says he is focused on his WBA light-welterweight title defence against Paul McCloskey but admits he is eyeing a bout with Timothy Bradley.

The 24-year-old faces McCloskey, who is unbeaten in 22 fights, at Manchester's MEN Arena on Saturday.

Khan, whose last fight was a win over Marcos Maidana in December, said: "You can never take any fight easy but I don't think McCloskey hits as hard.

"The fight can take me to better things and winning will take me to Bradley."

American Bradley defended his WBO title in January with a 10th-round victory over WBC title holder Devon Alexander, prompting speculation over a summer showdown with Khan.

"We want to get this fight done first. There's no point looking too far ahead," stressed Khan.

"We know what we want but we're not in talks about it yet. I want to get this guy [McCloskey] out of the way and then as soon as I have got him out the way then Golden Boy Promotions, who I'm with, can negotiate the big fight against Bradley and hopefully we can get that down in America or maybe here, which would be amazing."

the classic old weight **** isn't it!

One has got to love the fact that there isn't an uniform system of weight names across all the organizations.

The thing is, it's pretty much one guy holding all the belts for the different organizations. I know that they don't unify because of the money (if they have their champion, they market him instead of A champion) but boxing is suffering as a whole because of this. They just just unify the orgs and be done with it.

David Haye's world heavyweight title fight with Wladimir Klitschko will take place on 2 July in Hamburg - according to Klitschko's manager Bernd Boente.

After protracted negotiations, WBA champion Haye and IBF/WBO holder Klitschko agreed to fight last month with the venue and date undecided.

But Boente confirmed the 57,000-capacity Imtech Arena in Germany would stage the unification contest.

Haye, 30, has been training for the fight in Miami.

So Wladimir's got the sort-of home advantage. He's Ukranian, but most of his and Vitali's fanbase is in Germany.

Haye better train like he's never trained before, because this will be the fight of his life. If he does manage to topple Wladimir, then that's the toughest Klitschko out of the way. Just Vitali left then, and then he'd be the undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world.

looks like the fight everyone wants to see will never happen!

Floyd Mayweather's hearing on domestic violence charges, for which he could be jailed for 34 years if found guilty, was postponed a third time on Thursday.

The preliminary hearing, already postponed in January and March, was delayed again until 29 July.

It puts in further doubt a potential super-fight with Philippine legend Manny Pacquiao.

The two men were due to meet last year before a row over drug testing scuppered the bout.

Five-weight world champion Mayweather is charged with grand larceny, coercion and robbery stemming from a dispute last September with former girlfriend Josie Harris.

The American, 34, is accused of striking and threatening her, stealing her mobile telephone and threatening their two children.

Mayweather also faces a 1 September trial date on a battery charge for allegedly poking a security guard in the face during a scuffle last November over parking tickets.

Plans for a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao last March fell through when the Filipino, a six-weight world champion, rejected his opponent's demand for random drug-testing in the build-up to the bout.

Mayweather had said Pacquiao's refusal to undergo blood tests up to the day of their proposed fight meant his rival had something to hide.

It had been hoped their differences could be ironed out, but Mayweather's legal woes have made any match-up even more unlikely.

Mayweather, who is undefeated in 41 fights, has not fought since a dominant points win over fellow American Shane Mosley last May and he has fought only twice since stopping Britain's Ricky Hatton in December 2007.

Pacquiao's last fight was a stunning defeat of Mexican Antonio Margarito last November and he faces Mosley on 7 May.

However, the 32-year-old, who has 52 wins from 57 fights, won a seat in the Philippine Congress last May and there have been suggestions he is ready to quit the sport.

Nottingham's WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch has signed a five-fight deal with Matchroom Sport, run by Barry Hearn and son Eddie.

Froch, 33, split from long-time promoter Mick Hennessy last month and is due to fight Glen Johnson on 4 June.

Froch told BBC Sport he is "very optimistic" that fight will be broadcast by Sky Sports.

"With the backing of Matchroom we can do big things and capture the public's imagination," added Froch.

"My career has been a fantastic story, a rollercoaster, and it's been missed, it's gone under the radar.

"I beat Jermain Taylor [in 2009], climbed off the canvas in round three to defend my title with 14 seconds to go in the last round, it was an unbelievable fight.

"People should have been talking about me as the next big thing and what a great fighter I am from Britain, it should have crossed me over to the mainstream.

"But now we can do big things and get some column inches, some TV time and get the profile up, the stuff everyone is saying I deserve but I've not had.

"I've gone over and above the call of duty in my fights to warrant being a household name. It's not happened for me yet but I'm optimistic and excited it's about to happen."

Froch is currently competing in the Super Six super-middleweight tournament and victory over Jamaican Johnson in Atlantic City, New Jersey, will secure his place in the final.

However, all four of Froch's Super Six encounters so far have been broadcast in the United Kingdom by fringe satellite channel Primetime.

But Barry Hearn has close links with Sky Sports, which broadcasts his Prizefighter competition and is also credited with reversing the fortunes of darts and snooker.

"When you sit down with Barry and Eddie, you can tell they have the power and the resources to maximise your potential so I'm really excited about the rest of my career," added Froch, who has been beaten only once in 28 fights, against Denmark's Mikkel Kessler last year.

"The thing that stood out was their straight-talking approach and obviously their great reputation, not just in boxing, but in sport."

Froch also took advice from boxers already in the Matchroom stable.

He continued: "They have [European middleweight champion] Darren Barker on board, who is a good friend of mine, and Rob McCracken [Froch's trainer] told me to sit down and listen to Eddie - I listen to Rob and that made the decision simple.

"Eddie brings big things to the table and is able to promote me in a way that will get me the exposure that I deserve and crave - I've fulfilled my end of the bargain, I leave everything in the ring when I fight."

Froch sees the move as a way of fulfilling his dream of fighting at the home ground of Nottingham Forest, the football team he supports.

"I still have a dream to fight at the City Ground - I was promised that last year with Mikkel Kessler but it ended up happening in Denmark.

"If I'd gone into the meeting with Eddie and Barry then I believe that fight would've happened at the City Ground and it would've been a momentous occasion for myself, for the club, the city and for British boxing.

"But now we'll look forward and say, why can't it happen? When the Super Six is over and with Matchroom behind me, I know the dream can become a reality."

Manny Pacquiao insists he is not taking Shane Mosley's challenge lightly ahead of their fight on Saturday.

The Filipino superstar, regarded as the world's best pound-for-pound boxer, defends his WBO welterweight title in Las Vegas against the veteran American.

Pacquiao, 32, is overwhelming favourite but he said: "I never underestimate Mosley - he is a good fighter.

"He is strong, he throws a lot of punches and he moves fast. I have trained hard for this fight."

Pacquiao, who has a career record of 52-3-2 with 38 knockouts, last fought in November, defeating Antonio Margarito to win the vacant WBC light-middleweight title.

Mosley, 39, last fought in September when he struggled to a draw with Sergio Mora.

'Sugar Shane', also lost to unbeaten compatriot Floyd Mayweather in May 2010 and has been defeated six times in 54 fights.

But the Californian, who has 39 KOs to his name, said: "This is going to be a terrific fight, a great fight.

"We're both warriors, we both love to fight and we're both winners.

"And when you get two winners in there, you know it's going to be a heck of a fight. So I'm excited. I'm ready. It's going to be a blockbuster, and I'm happy to be a part of this."

Last week, Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach said his fighter had never prepared more thoroughly for a bout, and he emphasised the point during a news conference on Wednesday.

"We know we're in a tough fight," said Roach, who also trains Britain's WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan.

"We respect Shane and his camp. They have a great team. But we are 100% ready. Everybody has worked really hard at this training camp. I think it's the best training camp we've ever had and Manny is in the best shape ever.

"We need to peak for this fight because Shane's one of the most crafty guys out there. He's intelligent and experienced and you can't replace experience, that's for sure."

OMG! Shock horror! Manny Pacquiao...

... Won.

As if anything else was gonna happen really! Just amazes me how he is just steam rolling the top fighters in the division. THAT fight really needs to happen. Fix up Floyd! The fans deserve to see you 2 get it on!

    • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
