Official: Deontay Wilder To Face Dereck Chisora June 15th At Wembley

Over this past weekend, Hall of Fame British promoter Frank Warren wrote about how he had made Deontay Wilder?s promotional team Golden Boy a big offer to come back to the UK and fight former British champ Dereck Chisora. Well, despite news breaking at the start of the week that the unbeaten ?Bronze Bomber? had been released on bail for assault, the fight is now all set to go.

As reported by Boxing News, Wilder, 28-0(28) will face ?Del Boy,? 16-4(10) at Wembley Arena on June 15th. Also on Warren?s show will be Frankie Gavin against Denton Vassell as welterweight and the super-middleweight showdown between Paul Smith and Tony Dodson. It will almost certainly be the heavyweight clash that grabs the most headlines.

Chisora claims he has wanted to fight Wilder ?for two years,? and many fans also want to see the giant with the dynamite right hand tested. This test should come on June 15th. Chisora is his usual confident self:

?I first saw Wilder two years ago and I said to my trainer it would be a great fight for me,? Chisora said. ? He has been protected but not anymore.?

Wilder-Chisora will be scheduled for ten-rounds.

Cotto eyes $10 million purse against Canelo

Three-time world champion in different divisions Miguel Cotto reportedly could earn a purse of $10 million in a September 14th showdown against undefeated WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez. The fight would be a production of Canelo Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and Miguel Cotto Promotions so the negotiations to reach a financial agreement shouldn?t present problems given Cotto?s close relationship with Oscar de la Hoya, President of GBP. Although Cotto has lost his last two fights, his market value hasn?t diminished dramatically due to how close the fights were against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and then Austin Trout.

Might be jumping the gun here, but maybe Wilder could actually stand a chance against one of the Klitschkos? He's the same height as Vitali at 6' 7" (Wladimir is 6' 6"), and he's got a longer reach than both of them at 84" (Wladimir's 81", and Vitali's 79"). And looking at his past fights, he's definitely got some powerful punches in him. If he fought one of them, I'd bet at the very least he scores a knockdown.

He has a chance but Wilder has always been fed jobbers and people who he is expected to batter, look at his last fight against Fraudley Harrison and he battered him in 70 seconds

Golden Boy Promotions has denied that their fighter Deontay Wilder will face Dereck Chisora on June 15 in London as announced by Chisora?s promoter Frank Warren. Wilder may not be allowed out of the country due to pending felony charges.

Lucas Matthysse keeps rising but I cannot figure his path to greatness due to insane amount of weight classes boxing has. I wish they would just move to the MMA system with Cruserweight added for good measure.

Dereck Chisora could face Tyson Fury at Wembley in July

Dereck Chisora could fight Tyson Fury at Wembley Arena in July after his clash with American Deontay Wilder on 15 June was cancelled.

Wilder is unable to travel because of criminal allegations and Chisora will headline a rearranged show in London, with Fury, Fres Oquendo and Manuel Charr all possible opponents.

"I just want to fight again and I'm hungry for another world title opportunity," said Chisora.

The 29-year-old lost to Fury in 2011.

Manchester-born heavyweight Fury, who beat Londoner Chisora on a unanimous decision two years ago, is now undefeated in 21 fights after stopping American Steve Cunningham in the seventh round in New York in April.

Chisora has lost four times in 20 outings, including a world title fight against Vitali Klitschko and against British rival David Haye. He stopped Argentine Hector Avila in his last fight in April.

His promoter Frank Warren said offers had also been made to Puerto Rican Oquendo (35-7) and Lebanon's Charr (23-1), who was due to fight Haye on 29 June until the Briton withdrew because of injury.

"I'm concentrating on my next fight and whoever is in front of me on 20 July is going to take a beating," added Chisora.

On the undercard to Chisora, two unbeaten members of Warren's stable, Frankie Gavin and Denton Vassell, will face each other.

It's official, the highly anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is locked and loaded for September 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will headline a Showtime pay-per-view card, and will take place over Mexican Independence Day weekend, a traditional big fight date. It is the biggest bout which could be made in the sport right now, and it's also the toughest fight out there for Mayweather.

The Mayweather vs. Canelo bout was long presumed to be next for both men, but it's great to see this one finalized nice and early, ending the unnecessary speculation, and allowing all parties to simply focus on the fight ahead.

Mayweather vs. Canelo will be fought at a catchweight of 152 pounds. There had been some talk that Mayweather wanted Canelo to come down to welterweight, but in reality, that was surely just a negotiating tactic.

Still, on fight night, it's likely that Canelo weighs at least 165 or 170 pounds, offering him a large size and strength advantage. He also has youth and power on his side, presenting a unique challenge for Mayweather to face in his career. Of course, Canelo has never fought anybody that approaches Mayweather's skill-set for experience.

Mayweather (44-0, 26 KOs) is currently rated as the number 1 pound for pound boxer on the planet. He's also the number 1 fighter at 147 lbs.

ProBoxing-Fans.com currently has Canelo Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KOs) ranked at number 14 on our pound for pound list. He's the number 1 fighter at 154 lbs -- but only because we don't rank fighters in two divisions. Otherwise, Mayweather would still be regarded as the top man in that division as well, and Canelo would be number 2.

Some interesting numbers being mentioned at Forbes.com. They claim if Alvarez-Mayweather pulls in 1.6 million PPV buys, the bout would gross $105 million with $50 million of that going to Floyd. We?ve heard elsewhere that Alvarez is in store for a $10-12 million payday. No terms of the deal have been officially revealed.

Forbes also claims Showtime lost up to $12 million on Mayweather-Guerrero.

Yeah but sadly now that holds zero to no appeal after he got shown up against Marquez

I wonder what the PPV number will be for that fight. Mayweather may end up pricing himself out of a career. Showtime and HBO aren't in the money losing business to support 50 million per fight and not sell 1 million PPV at least.

Watched the Froch fight last weekend, first boxing ive watched in years due to lack of interest (and excitement being an MMA fan for 15 years), just couldnt get into it, not knocking the sport at all but i just couldnt get used to lack of kicking and being broken up every 7 seconds when they touched eachother.

Just don't. Really. Boxing has been tepid for years and there are so many belts moving around that you can't really focus on anything. Stick to MMA, lots of good promotions around and it's easier to keep track of interesting fights and title changes.

The belt situation annoys me as well actually, WBA,WBO,IBF,WBF,WBC,Ring Magazine,WBC Diamond just so many :/

    • Hey Google, these are the Gemini features I want in 2026 by Aditya Tiwari Google Gemini has been around for over three years. The AI chatbot started its journey back in 2023 (as Bard) when ChatGPT was already a talk of the town. However, it quickly attracted criticism after misrepresenting facts about the James Webb Space Telescope. The search giant spent a year fine-tuning Bard before rebranding the chatbot and its underlying generative AI model to Gemini, drawing inspiration from NASA's first human spaceflight program. Note that Bard was initially powered by LaMDA and PaLM 2; Google has since added several new features and integrations to Gemini. That said, there is scope for improvement and a gap for new features. I have been using Gemini for a while now and have realized that the chatbot lacks several features, making it harder for me to research across topics. These are mostly function-over-form updates that can improve the overall experience. Delete individual messages from a conversation Image via DepositPhotos.com One good thing about Gemini is that it can maintain context throughout the conversation. But things might get chaotic when you want to ask a related question, but don't want it to be part of your conversation in the long run. You can't ask that related question in a fresh chat because Gemini will lose the active conversation context of what you're trying to research. If Google allowed you to delete individual question/answer pairs, you could simply ask about a sub-topic and remove it from the conversation to create a smooth flow of important stuff. Offline mode Image via DepositPhotos.com A big pain of using Gemini daily is that everything loads from the cloud. It takes time for your chats to appear, and you can't view your conversation history while offline. To get a better idea, you can open the Gemini app and see how it looks without an internet connection. While Gemini models run in the cloud, it wouldn't hurt if Google could store chats (at least the text part) on the device so we can refer to them when offline. Google can also offer a lightweight version of its AI model to help with basic drafting, summarization, and other tasks. It has the Gemini Nano model, which can perform on-device processing on Google Pixel, Samsung, and some other Android brands, but it's a system feature and not related to the cloud-based Gemini app. Make temporary chats permanent I can't thank Google enough for taking the time and effort to add incognito mode or temporary chat mode to the Gemini app. It lets you have conversations without worrying that the topics will end up in your chat history or used for model training (at least on paper). Google claims that it doesn't use your temporary chats to "personalize your Gemini experience or train Google’s AI models." However, the data is stored "up to 72 hours to respond to you and to process any feedback you choose to provide." That said, I often start researching something in a temporary chat, only to realize the chatbot's answer is good enough to refer to later. Sadly, Gemini doesn't have an option to make such temporary chats permanent. In other words, I won't be able to follow up on it if I close the temporary chat. I'm left with alternatives like copying the answers into notes or another app. My digital life will get a lot better if Gemini gets a button to make temporary chats permanent. Collapse answers for a cleaner view You're heavily invested in your research game and suddenly feel the need to go up in the chat to recall something. This is when the conversation thread starts to feel like an overwhelming, unending wall of questions and answers. What if Google added a way to collapse Q&A pairs in the Gemini chat thread? It would look quite clean and easy to navigate. You'll quickly get an overview of everything you have discussed with the chatbot. Add buttons to jump between messages Suggested mockup of the feature. This reminds me of a small but useful Gemini feature that Google could add to its chatbot: the ability to hop between prompts in a conversation. Just add simple up- and down-arrow buttons, similar to YouTube Shorts, so people can quickly scroll through the messages. A table of contents or Chat Overview It's hard to get a bird's-eye view of everything you have discussed with the chatbot during a lengthy conversation. This is where a table of contents, or Chat Overview, displayed at the top of the screen, possibly in a drop-down button, might come in handy. You'll be able to get an overview of the chat and jump between messages, serving as an alternative to the up/down arrow buttons. Temporary mode for Gemini Live Image: Google You can use Gemini Live to have real-time conversations with the chatbot, which feels like you're talking to someone in the same room. However, a downside is that Gemini Live doesn't work in Temporary Chat mode, so all your conversations end up in the chat history. Google should consider expanding the temporary chat mode to include Gemini Live. Default to a specific chat One thing that feels somewhat annoying to me is that Gemini always opens in a new chat, whether on web or mobile. Sometimes, you want to return to your last chat. Google can take cues from web browsers, which let you choose whether you want to go to a new tab or a specific web page(s). Gemini can also have options to default to a specific chat when reopened. That said, generative AI chatbots have endless possibilities given the vagueness of their work. You can mold them the way you want by attaching different connectors, adding custom instructions, and including source files. It remains to be seen what Google has in store for future updates and whether anything from this wishlist gets the green light. The search giant released a stream of new Gemini updates in recent months, including Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini Omni Spark, adding that it now has 13 products with more than a billion users each. What do you want to see in the Gemini app? Tell us in the comments.
