Renaming converted DVD files

I'm using Handbrake to convert some of my old DVD's to mkv's before they go in the loft. I've ripped and encoded a number of disks of TV shows, but would like to know if there is an easier way to change the filename to accurately reflect the season number, title etc.

IE:

x-files.disk1-1.mkv

to

X Files - S1E01 - Pilot.mkv

I've tried using a program called therenamer, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere - does anyone have any good advice? :)

Other than naming when you create the job, no. At least I haven't found a way.
