AndyD
I am very much interested in using Reeder but I have concerns about using my main account to log in to Google Reader. Does anyone know how the app logs into Reader?
RadishTM Veteran Posted May 4, 2011 Veteran Share Posted May 4, 2011 If you're worried, have you thought of using a separate Gmail for your RSS instead? I use the app myself but don't use my main account for RSS feeds. IIRC it asks for your log in details within the app and then authenticates/downloads your feeds, mind you this was a while back and might have changed (never had the need to log in again); maybe someone else can chime in. AndyD
Yeah, I have but didn't want to have to keep switching between accounts in order to access reader and my main account. I think I'm going to doing it though. Thanks!

AndyD
I ended up setting up the alternate account and using Reeder. Happy about the switch. My only wish is to be able to set up default accounts on the desktop so I don't have to keep switching between accounts when I move from reader / gmail and vice versa
