David Hayter and Jennifer Hale join cast of Republique

Rejoice, fans of Metal Gear, Mass Effect, and Republique! According to the official Republique KickStarter page, not only is Solid Snake himself on board for the indie adventure title, but so is Commander Sheppard/Naomi Hunter. Two of gaming's most well known voice actors, David Hayter and Jennifer Hale, will be joining the game's cast.

David Hayter will be portraying the leader of the game's revolutionary movement, while Hale will be 'The Mentor,' a character who “knows Hope better than anyone else,” Hope being the name of the game's protagonist. They will also both be lending their signature to the poster offered to backers who pledge $500 or more to the game's KickStarter fund.

Meanwhile, Republique's KickStarter campaign still has 7 days to go. Last we checked, it had 4,594 backers, racking up an impressive $214,394. It's come a long way from when we first reported it (we've got to admit, we were a little worried it might end up forgotten and never see the light of day back then). Still, they've got a ways to go before they reach their total $500,000 goal, so they definitely need your help, if you've got a few bucks to spare.
