Obama and McCain suffered computer attacks

Obama is the new president we know that much but how much of his future plans in his administration could be affected by a computer attack that occurred in the Summer. It has been recently revealed that in the summer months, campaigning for the presidency, both John McCain and Barack Obama's computer headquarters were hacked and sensitive and maybe important details could now be in the hands of foreign organisations and unauthorized personnel.

The amount of data lost is unknown but an agent from the FBI told the Obama team "You have been compromised, and a serious amount of files have been loaded off your system.", the data taken could mean Obama will have to change some of the plans he had for his future administration when he takes office in January 2009.

Certain information needs controlling, the masses couldn't handle content.

Hahaha, so is this suppose to give him an excuse for not coming through with any promises he made during the campaign, that helped him get the office?? I don't think this is real...

What type of "sensitive" data can a candidate to the presidency have on his computers that would compromise him and his presidency? I don't get it.

+1... Especially considering his platform is outlined in detail at http://www.change.gov

Perhaps plans to deal with with North Korea or Iraq? There could be options listed there that may be of interest, or perhaps options listed that he would not consider that would likewise be of interest in negotiations.

And that type of data would be available on "normal" computers with access to the internet...? Doesn't seem to be the best idea.

Yes but if only a single pc with access to the intranet was hacked, then is possible to hack the rest. In fact is (a bit easy in some cases) to do a intranet hack (using a sniffer for example).

I'm sure he will get tighter security now that he is becoming president.
