Spotted: AT&T 8 and 16GB versions of the HTC 8X

When HTC announced the 8X, one item left off the press release was the storage size of the phones that they would offer. A tipster has told Neowin that they saw evidence that the HTC 8X will come in 8 and 16 GB flavors for AT&T, and that they will be arriving shortly.

The unnamed tipster also stated no pricing has been spotted, but training for Windows Phone 8 is already underway internally. Even though we don't have pricing, the good news is that with more folks being exposed to Windows Phone 8 content, the information will likely surface in the near future.

The two phones will also receive a big push from their vendor as HTC finds itself in an overcrowded market and they are hoping that the HTC 8X will separate itself from the pack. It's entirely possible that the 8Gb version may never be sold, but it was in a training session which means that AT&T certainly has them available to staff.

There are a few other tidbits that we are working on for the upcoming launch of AT&Ts Windows Phone 8 devices, as soon as we can lock down the information, we will pass it along to you.

Thanks for the tip Anon!

Lots of options coming up for WP8, each device seems to have options that make them attractive. Unfortunately I haven't seen one that screams 'must have' for me yet, instead I'll wait to go hands on in store to try them out.

I'm leaning towards the 920, but it might depend on the extra cost of the wireless charging dock. With SkyDrive, I can live with no microSD (I think).

PASS! If I was getting Windows Phone 8, it would be Samsung at this point.

Same, either a Nokia or a Samsung at this point - there was a reason for the lack of widespread adoption of microsd slot when Windows Phone 7 was released but now Windows Phone 8 is here with an improved way in which the media is handled there is no reason why a vendor shouldn't offer a microsd slot.

Yeah, the 8S has a killer design. It's really sad they made it a mid-range device. I really think they should have had the designs the other way around - 8S design for the 8X and 8X design for the 8S.

I wish this phone was available in a 32GB configuration or had expandable storage. The beats audio really is an attracting factor for someone that listens to a lot of music on the go, but 16GB seems a bit low compared to the Lumia 920's 32 gigs.

Really? People actually fall for that crap? The beats audio is just a equalizer setting with the bass boosted way up. That's all.

That's not true for 8X, it has a hardware amp.
