Apple Arcade to get a special edition NBA 2K26 and three other games next month

Apple announced the latest drop for its game subscription service, Apple Arcade. Four new gaming titles are set to arrive next month, with NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition as the highlight among the pack.

NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition will bring new features and updated in-game graphics to all Apple devices. You can build your own teams and relive the old times with the new "NBA Eras" in The Association mode. The game will feature updated, authentic rosters that reflect the latest moves and multiplayer games in MyCARREER mode.

“In MyCAREER, we’ve even made it easier for you to make your MyPLAYER just like the pros, using the player templates to craft builds just like Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, or your new cover athlete, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander,” said Visual Concept"s general manager, Rebecca Chan, in a statement.

NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition will arrive on Apple Arcade on October 16. However, Apple has planned some other launches for the month on October 2:

  • Thomas & Friends: Let"s Roll+ by StoryToys,
  • Dominoes: Classic Tile Game+ by MobilityWare
  • Piffle+ by Mighty Games and Hipster Whale

Thomas & Friends: Let"s Roll+ is meant for kids aged two to six, where they can pilot train engines on the Island of Sodor. Kids can build train tracks, enhance them with scenery options, and pick different engines.

Dominoes: Classic Tile Game+ is a reimagined version of the classic strategy game, available for iPhone and iPad. You can choose from different game modes, challenge in-game opponents with different playstyles, and compete on leaderboards to earn titles.

Piffle+ is a colorful puzzle game where your goal is to defeat the villain by bouncing Piffle balls to break the blocks. The game features hundreds of levels, allowing players to collect items and utilize power-ups to boost results.

Apple is also updating TMNT Splintered Fate with a new playable character named Metalhead on September 30.
