Apple teases new wireless earbuds Powerbeats Fit for a 2025 launch

Apple has dropped a teaser for its upcoming pair of wireless earbuds known as Powerbeats Fit. It"s a 16-second video featuring NFL players Saquon Barkley, Justin Jefferson, and Jayden Daniels, who can be seen practicing while wearing the unreleased wireless earbuds.

As seen in the teaser, the orange in-ear headphones have a wing tip at the top to keep them in place during workouts and running sessions. The overall look of the Powerbeats Fit is similar to that of the Beats Fit Pro from 2021, which was powered by the Apple H1 chip and featured fully adaptive Active Noise Cancellation.

Earlier this year, Apple also launched the Powerbeats Pro 2 as the long-awaited replacement of the Powerbeats Pro. The wireless earbuds are the first from Apple to feature heart rate tracking, which is not even present on the AirPods Pro lineup.

After upgrading AirPods Pro with hearing aid features, heart rate monitoring is expected to be the next major feature for the upcoming AirPods Pro model. Last year, Apple was spotted testing health sensors for its wireless earbuds.

It is not yet known what features the upcoming Powerbeats Fit will borrow from the Powerbeats Pro 2, if any. The Cupertino giant remains tight-lipped about its technical specifications and pricing, but says that the wireless earbuds are "fit for every move," hinting that they are targeted at sports and fitness-focused users.

Apple mentions at the end of the teaser video that Powerbeats Fit will launch in the fall of 2025. The fall season typically starts around September 22, but Apple has scheduled this year"s iPhone launch event for September 9, with upgrades also expected for Apple Watch, AirPods, and other products.

So, all we can do is wait and see if Apple mentions the Powerbeats Fit during the keynote or saves the launch for a later date to stay in the headlines for a longer time.
