EA and Battlefield Studios are almost ready to launch Battlefield 6 in a couple of weeks. However, like with all live service experiences, plans are already in motion to bring even more content to the game in the coming months, including new maps, weapons, a new vehicle, game modes, and more via seasonal updates.
Today, the developer revealed the first three seasons that will arrive to the game before 2026, which are dubbed Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive. All the arriving new content will also be usable in the Portal Builder for custom games and servers as well.
Rogue Ops will be here October 28. This carries the large map Blackwell Fields, the 4vs4 tactical game mode Strikepoint, and an infantry support vehicle, as well as the SOR-300C carbine, Mini Fix sniper, and the GGH-22 sidearm as weapons.
Next, California Resistance has a November 18 release date. This will bring another large map named Eastwood. Alongside it, the 8vs8 mode Sabotage, the Battle Pickups system that spawns unique special weapons, as well as the DB-12 shotgun and M327 Trait revolver, are also included here.
Lastly, the 2025 updates finish off with Winter Offensive on December 9, adding a limited-time winter version of the Empire State map. The developer will introduce a new Freeze mechanic during this time as well, alongside an ice climbing axe as a melee weapon.
Curiously, the post-launch schedule doesn’t mention Battlefield 6"s Firestorm battle royale mode at all, which is supposed to land after the game launches next month with its campaign and multiplayer. The developer might still be deciding on the release date for the mode as testing continues.
Battlefield 6 is out on October 10 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The PC version will be available across Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store.
