Gamers can now exchange their 'Halo 5' limited edition download for a physical disk

The set release of "Halo 5: Guardians" Limited Edition previously generated a great deal of excitement among the gaming community, despite the $249 edition coming with a digital download rather than a physical copy of the game. However, an outcry among fans led to Microsoft announcing that there would indeed be a way to instead secure a hard disk nearer to the launch. An exact method on how to go about the process was yet to be clarified a few months ago.

Well earlier today, Microsoft updated the "Halo 5" support page, which now offers a step-by-step guide for how to exchange the digital code for a physical disk:

Microsoft is only offering exchanges of the digital version of "Halo 5" for a physical copy from October 20 to November 1. Moreover, if you have already redeemed your digital code, then unfortunately you won"t be eligible for this exchange program.

For gamers that are siding with the digital download, "Halo 5" will ship a week ahead of the official launch, allowing for plenty of time to install the game and download the likely day one patch.

The game is set to be made available to the masses on October 27.
