Google's Pixel 2 XL in 'Black & White' now sold out

Earlier today, Google held its event that introduced the world to its latest products. While there were many exciting and unexpected offerings, the main focus of the event was no doubt on its Pixel phones. The firm revealed towards the end of its Pixel presentation that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL would be available for immediate pre-order.

Although the handsets have only been available for a few hours, it appears that the "Black & White" variant of the Pixel XL 2 has proved to be quite popular, with the item now showing as being sold out. While the status of it being "out of stock" has changed several times over the past couple of hours, it now seems to have stabilized.

This is reminiscent of the situation last year, where new orders had over a month delay, forcing Google to issue Play Store credit. Luckily, if you were looking to purchase a different Pixel handset, all is not lost. At the moment, there does seem to be stock available of the "Just Black" Pixel 2 XL model in both 64GB and 128GB variants. This also extends to the Pixel 2 which is available in both colors and also in both sizes.
