Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture are free to claim on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store is keeping up its double giveaway streak. The latest offer just landed, replacing the Hidden Folks and Totally Reliable Delivery Service giveaways from last week. Now, PC gamers can claim copies of Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture. As always, you have seven days to add the latest games permanently to your Epic Games Store"s PC library.

Looking at Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge first, it is a unique indie experience that has you becoming a frog caretaker. Described as a "cozy frog collecting game about farming and preserving nature," the title has you restoring a land to convert it into a sanctuary for frogs. This involves getting help from NPCs, photographing unique frogs to increase reputation, and even breeding unique types.

The wetlands must be restored to their original state to continue this mission too, which adds on some farming and crafting systems to the title. There are ponds to dig, various species of plants to harvest, produce to sell, and the frog refuge to customize in any way you like. This is a fully single-player experience that launched only last year.

Next, Strange Horticulture lands offering its occult puzzle-solving gameplay, where you take the role of a proprietor at a local plant store. Set in the mystical town of Undermere, customers will come asking for strange plants, which you must find in the nearby forests and mountains.

"As a cast of colorful customers come by your shop, you are quickly thrust into an occult mystery stretching back hundreds of years," says the developer, describing the title. "Explore the lands beyond your store to find new plants, but be careful! The dark woods and lakes are not always friendly to a simple herbalist. You might discover powers beyond your wildest dreams - or lose your mind completely."

The Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture giveaways on the Epic Games Store are active right now, and they will last until August 28. PC gamers can add the duo to their library for no cost during the seven-day timeframe before the next freebies arrive. It has been revealed that Machinarium and Make Way will be a part of the next giveaway.
