Samsung"s Galaxy S26 lineup has purportedly gone through a shake-up, which has delayed its launch. The "Edge" model—which was expected to be launched alongside the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Ultra in January next year—is reportedly not coming back, and the "Plus" model has been reinstated in the Galaxy S26 series lineup.
With the Edge reportedly bidding adieu, Samsung shifted its focus to the Galaxy S26 Plus, and now we have our very first look at its renders. Android Headlines and OnLeaks have shared some renders of the upcoming Galaxy S26 Plus, which show the device"s design and a few color options, the orange looking strikingly similar to that of the iPhone 17 Pro"s orange color.
But colors shown in renders are merely representative and aren"t official. Prominent leaker Max Jambor has already dismissed rumors about an orange Galaxy S26 Plus, and said, "this color just doesn’t exist."
Speaking of the design, the main change, or the highlight, is on the back of the phone, which appears to have drawn inspiration from the Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy Z Fold7. The triple cameras are placed on an island, which, by the way, is expected to get an upgrade. A recent report suggested that the triple camera setup will include a 50MP primary, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 12MP telephoto lens.
On the front, the Galaxy S26 Plus is expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat display with a uniform bezel all around. The phone is said to measure 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35mm, almost the same as that of this year"s Galaxy S25 Plus.
The rest of the phone looks similar to the Galaxy S25 series, with buttons, ports, and microphones all resting in their usual places. This suggests that, once again, Samsung will be relying on internal upgrades to justify the price hike, which has been rumored for next year"s Galaxy S26 series.
