Lenovo Chromebook Duet unboxing and first impressions

At CES this year, Lenovo announced the Chromebook Duet, also known as the IdeaPad Duet Chromebook in some markets. The Chromebook Duet is available today, and it"s definitely got a real value proposition behind it, starting at $279.

It"s a Chrome OS tablet that has an attachable kickstand and an attachable keyboard, both of which come standard in the box. It also has some nice new Chrome OS features, switching to a tablet mode automatically when the tablet is detached. Once it"s in tablet mode, it automatically goes to an all apps screen, and you can use Android-style gestures to navigate.

It"s powered by a MediaTek Helio P60T and 4GB RAM, and it has a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 400-nit display. Without anything attached, it weighs in at under a pound, and the whole package is just over two pounds. Storage options are 64GB and 128GB eMMC, and the latter model only bumps up the price by $20.
