Admins rejoice, Microsoft has just announced that its Windows Admin Center now supports Arm-based Copilot+ PCs. This now means you have full, browser-based management capabilities on these new devices, which come with built-in AI capabilities for enhanced performance and productivity.
With Windows Admin Center now supported on these devices, administrators can manage infrastructure directly from a Copilot+ PC. Things that can be managed include Hybrid Active Directory environments, servers and clusters, and client infrastructure. Windows Admin Center has been optimized for the Arm architecture so that it takes advantage of the energy efficiency and AI acceleration without the need for workarounds.
Microsoft said that the core Windows Admin Center experiences and tool set, such as installation and overview, remain the same. It maintains management parity with x64 devices, which is really important for organizations evaluating large-scale enterprise deployments.
"As enterprises embrace Copilot+ PCs for their blend of performance, mobility, and AI capabilities, having full management parity with x64 devices is critical," Microsoft said. "Organizations evaluating large-scale deployments have been waiting for this moment, and now IT admins can confidently manage their entire Windows ecosystem—servers, clusters, and desktops—directly from Arm devices without sacrificing functionality."

Among its key highlights and restored functionality is that High Availability (HA) deployment has been restored. The ability to deploy Windows Admin Center in a failover cluster for high availability has been brought back and is compatible with the modernized gateway. This update also enhanced silent installations with restored and improved command-line silent installation support.
