Did you know that Windows Game Bar has a built-in browser that lets you find something on the internet without alt-tabbing out of your current game? This handy thing is called Edge Game Assist, and it was launched publicly in May 2025. Microsoft regularly updates it with support for more games, new features, and bug fixes. You can find the complete list of supported games here. Having your game supported by Edge Game Assist is important so that the browser can see what you play and offer you relevant content and additional information. When you open Game Assist, it automatically pulls useful guides and helpful resources so that you can get what you need faster.
In addition to new game support, developers added the ability to close Game Assist from the "Settings and more" menu and fixed the bug with Game Assist automatically reinstalling itself:
- Added an option to close Game Assist in the Settings and more (…) menu.
- Resolved an issue where Game Assist could be automatically reinstalled on some PCs with multiple Windows user accounts. This fix is now rolling out to Insiders and will be available for everyone in the coming weeks.
- Additional bug fixes, polish, and accessibility improvements.
