Nintendo adding six new games to the SNES and NES Switch Online libraries

When Nintendo finally released the first batch of SNES games for users who have subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online, it also said that it would stop releasing new games on a monthly basis, and didn"t provide a timeframe for new releases. It"s been three months since then, and we"re now getting the first batch of new games for the collections.

In total, six new games are being released on December 12, two of them for the NES collection, and four for the SNES. The latter list is the most interesting, with titles such as Super Punch-Out!! and Star Fox 2.

  • Star Fox 2
  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Breath of Fire II

The NES collection is getting a much smaller update:

  • JOURNEY TO SILIUS
  • Crystalis

Perhaps the most notable of the additions is Star Fox 2, which was never officially released on the SNES. It wasn"t until 2017 that the game made its official debut on the SNES Classic Edition (Classic Mini in some regions). So, if you missed your chance to grab one of those consoles, this might be the only way to play the game.
