Nintendo adds four new retro games to the Switch Online library

Ever since Nintendo added Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) games to the Nintendo Switch Online membership, updates have been released at a much slower pace compared to the previous monthly schedule. The company kind of balanced that out by adding some pretty heavy hitters with its December update, which included classics such as Super Punch-Out!!, Kirby Super Star, and the unreleased Star Fox 2.

Now, two and a half months since the last update, more titles have been added to the NES and SNES collections that are part of Nintendo"s online subscription, but they"re not quite as interesting. There are only four titles being added, two from the NES and two from the SNES. The NES titles are Shadow of the Ninja, a side-scrolling action game, and Eliminator Boat Duel, which is a racing game featuring powerboats.

On 2/19, 4 more games will be added to the #NES & #SNES#NintendoSwitchOnline collections!

Over on the SNES side of things, the games being added today are Pop"n TwinBee, which is a vertical scrolling shooter, and a successor to TwinBee, which was already available in the NES collection for Switch Online members. The other addition is Smash Tennis, which is a tennis game that promises fairly deep mechanics for an SNES title.

The titles are already available in Europe based on Nintendo"s social media channels, but they should also be live in North America today. You"ll need to update the respective apps for the games to appear in your collection.
