Nothing has launched the Ear (3) with a fresh design, better sound, and a new feature called Super Mic, which is actually placed in the charging case. The third iteration of the TWS earbuds also has metal parts along with the classic transparent look, which makes it more stylish and durable.
The Super Mic system, placed in the charging case, filters out heavy background noise (up to 95 decibels) to make calls crystal clear, no matter where you are. Users can press a TALK button on the case to activate the mic for conversations or quickly record voice notes, which are automatically transcribed if using along with one of the Nothing phones.
Each earbud also has better microphones than the last generation, and even a bone-conduction sensor that picks up voice vibrations directly to help isolate voices from noisy surroundings. The earbuds also use AI trained on millions of hours of audio to cancel out wind and background sounds, enhancing clarity during calls.
The Ear (3) also gets a design refresh with a blend of transparent casing and polished metal accents, with an advanced Metal-Insulator-Metal antenna for stronger, more reliable connectivity. Nothing says that the case is made from recycled aluminum with precise manufacturing.
The battery life on the Ear (3) is also impressive, with up to 10 hours on a single charge and a total of 38 hours including the case, plus a fast USB-C charge giving 10 hours of playback in just 10 minutes. Wireless charging is also included. There"s also support for Bluetooth 5.4, with LDAC offering a stable and detailed audio experience, and low-latency mode supports gaming and video with minimal delay. IP54 water resistance protects against dust, sweat, and light rain, but not full waterproofing, unlike IP67 or IP68 rated ones.
The Ear (3) goes on pre-order starting today and on sale from September 25, 2025, priced at £179/$179/€179.
