One of the most reliable AMD RX 9070 16GB VRAM graphics cards is under MSRP

Memory prices are high at the moment, as you may be familiar with, and that is expected to continue into 2026. The reason for this is the high demand for RAM from enterprise AI, and it is possible that this will start affecting graphics cards as well.

As such, if you are looking to build a gaming PC rig now, this is a good time to pick up this AMD Radeon RX 9070 model, as it is currently under MSRP and also happens to come from one of the most reliable AMD add-in-board (AIB) partners, Sapphire (purchase link under the specs table down below).

We reviewed both the RX 9070 and 9070 XT Sapphire Pulse models (sent by AMD) and we were very impressed by the cards. The former performed well at both gaming as well as in productivity (including AI tasks). It is a great 1440p gaming option.

While we did criticize the RX 9070 non-XT for its relatively poorer value compared to the 9070 XT, it received our high praise in terms of cooling and efficiency. This was despite the Sapphire Pulse cooler having two fans and being a 2.5-slot card. This means the thermal design of the GPU is certainly very impressive and is made possible thanks to Sapphire"s AeroCurve fan design, which is said to reduce friction and air resistance, all while maintaining lower noise levels.

Another reason behind such cool temperatures is also the included Honeywell PTM7950 thermal interface material (TIM). The PTM7950 is a Phase Change Pad with a "Thermal Impedance of 0.04 - 0.08 (OC cm²/w) and Thermal Conductivity of 8.5 w/mk."
