Rocksteady reportedly readying a Suicide Squad game for next-gen platforms

Rocksteady, the studio behind the popular Arkham line of Batman games, is once again working on a DC universe-set experience, according to a new report by Eurogamer. The supervillain team Suicide Squad is said to be the main focus of the title. However, it seems the Caped Crusader isn"t vanishing into the background just yet, as Warner Bros. Montreal is apparently readying a new Batman game as well.

The report arrives shortly after fans discovered a few domain registrations that may be pointing to new game announcements coming in from Warner Bros., namely, "SuicideSquadGame.com", "SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com", and "GothamKnightsGame.com", which Eurogamer understands to be accurate.

According to the report, Rocksteady has been developing the Suicide Squad game for a number of years. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Montreal, maker of Batman: Arkham Origins, is said to be working on Gotham Knights, a Batman title surrounding the Court of Owls saga. Both games are expected to hit the upcoming next-generation consoles.

Although Warner Bros. hasn"t yet confirmed anything regarding upcoming games by the two studios, its DC Fandome digital event is set to kick off on August 22. If reports are accurate, that"s where we will see what"s next for games set in the DC multiverse.
