The weekend is fast approaching, and the first Free Play Days promotion of 2026 has just been kicked off by Microsoft, bringing in a fresh bunch of titles for Xbox gamers to try out. The latest weekend event landed today with a whopping seven games to try. From them, only four titles are exclusive for Game Pass subscribers, while the remaining trio can be played without any sort of membership requirement.
It"s a special Free Play Days event this time, with EA being the publisher offering all of the games, specifically from its sports games segment.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can now jump into the most recent EA Sports games for no extra cost. This includes access to the soccer entry EA SPORTS FC 26, the American football entry Madden NFL 26, its other variant College Football 26, as well as the ice hockey experience NHL 26.
Meanwhile, all Xbox players can jump into the Formula One world championship racing game F1 25, the mixed martial arts fighting game UFC 5, and the golfing title EA Sports PGA Tour, all from EA.
As always, any progress made during the weekend also carries over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward.

To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, then in the sidebar, see the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. The Free Play Days collection will show up in this area.
This month"s Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, January 18, at 11:59 pm PT.
