June is once again setting up to be the biggest showcase month of the year. Sony has just announced that a massive State of Play presentation will be kicking off on June 5, and it will be over 60 minutes of announcements, new updates, and gameplay reveals from both first-party and third-party studios.
The 2026 June State of Play broadcast is going live on Tuesday, June 2 at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET / 11:00pm CEST / June 3 at 6:00am JST. It will be available to stream on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels. Both English and Japanese broadcasts will be available.
Sony gave a teaser about what fans can expect to see at the event too. The State of Play will begin with an extended look at the next Insomniac Games-developed adventure, Marvel"s Wolverine. The studio is set to "share more from its upcoming third-person action-adventure game showing off Logan’s brutal and relentless combat along with some new details." The game is set to release on September 15, taking place in the same universe as the studio"s Spider-Man games.
Aside from that, we may also get looks at other upcoming PlayStation titles like Naughty Dog"s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and live service experiences such as Horizon Hunters Gathering.
For those that may want to catch the show on a big screen, Sony has partnered with Alamo Drafthouse to bring fans in the United States a special watch party. This will be a free event but with a limited number of spots, so head over to the Alamo Drafthouse website to claim one if you can make it. The show will be presented across many of its country-wide venues.
Following this event, don"t forget that Microsoft will kick off its own Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. Get more details about that double event here.
