Splatoon 2's last content update coming on December 5 with eight new weapons and more

Nintendo"s Splatoon 2, which launched on the Switch in July of last year, is set to receive its final content update on December 5. The game"s upcoming Version 4.3.0 will introduce two new abilities including Bomb Defense Up DX, which combines existing gear abilities Bomb Defense Up and Cold Blooded, and the Main Power Up.

The announcement was spotted by a Splatoon fan account and shared on Twitter:

There are six different ways the Main Power Up ability affects weapons. For example, it increases shot accuracy when firing while jumping with the Splattershot and expands ink coverage with the Aerospray MG. It also raises the damage with the Splat Roller and lengthens the duration of burst firing with the Heavy Splatling. Additionally, the new ability boosts the speed of the Brella canopy regeneration and speeds up the movement of the Inkbrush.

The update also brings with it a total of eight new weapons, four of which have already been known including the Ballpoint Splatling Nouveau, Nautilus 79, Custom Explosher, and Bloblobber Deco. The other four new weapons under the Kensa Collection remain a secret for now.

This update will be the FINAL update to include new weapons.

However, a total of eight new weapons appear to be included!

While this update will be the last of its kind for the co-op third-person shooter video game, fans can still look forward to "new Splatfests and balance tweaks" until 2019, with more maps changes expected to arrive in the future.
