Late on Friday, 6tindr, the third party Windows Phone Tinder app created by Rudy Huyn, was pulled from the Windows Phone Store at the request of the messaging and people matching app company. Since then, Huyn, the creator of a number of acclaimed and popular Windows Phone apps, has launched an online campaign to get Tinder to change their mind and restore 6tindr to the store.
It looks like that effort is having an effect, at least for one important person at Tinder. After Huyn posted on his Twitter account that he had heard nothing from the company on his campaign, the founder and CEO of Tinder, Sean Rad, posted this response on Sunday:

That certainly sounds as if Rad might be open to some kind of collaboration with Huyn, who put in features in 6tindr that are currently not available on Tinder"s official iOS and Android apps. If those talks fail, it sounds like Huyn might have an alternative. He stated on his own Twitter account:
I was contacted by a @tinder competitor to make a #6tindr clone. Perhaps. if @tinder continues to ban the app #AProblemASolution

Of course, we will stay on top of this situation and will report if the talks between Tinder and Huyn are successful or if Huyn decides to work with the unnamed competitor.
