Verizon's Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) support page now live

We know that Mango is right around the corner and it should be dropping from the tree at any moment. Microsoft has said that it will be out in the next week or two, we have heard whispers of the 27th and now Verizon’s Mango support page is live.

The support page does not offer up a date but does have two PDF downloads that talk about the benefits of the software upgrade and instructions for updating your device.

For those on Verizon, this should be extremely pleasing; Verizon is typically slow to deliver new updates when compared to their competitors. But with this new support page, it looks like Verizon is gearing up for the update along with many other carriers.

We should hopefully hear more this week about the official update path for all existing Windows Phone devices. All eyes will be on Microsoft to see how this distribution pans out as the last update, NoDo, was a bit of a bumpy ride for some users.

Mango should also be arriving any day now and it will bring 500 new features to the Windows Phone platform. Microsoft is hopeful that with Mango, new hardware and a holiday shopping season ahead, Windows Phone will be able to gain the attention it rightfully deserves.
