You can now design, submit, and pay for a custom Snapchat geofilter from your phone

While custom Snapchat geofilters have always been available, they required users to head to a special website using a browser to create and pay for them. Now the process has been streamlined, allowing users to create and pay for the custom geofilters within the app itself.

If you feel like creating your own geofilter for an occasion, you can head to the "Settings" menu found in the top left area of your profile. From there you will scroll down and find the "On-demand Geofilters" option and start creating. You"ll be given the option to select the occasion and will be given a variety of different templates to choose from.

After you"ve created your geofilter, you"ll want to save it and also designate the amount of time and the area that it will be active. While the price of the custom geofilter will start at $5.99, the time it stays up and the space it occupies will increase that price. Once you have confirmed the design and settings, you"ll need to submit your creation to the Snapchat team for approval. After it is approved you will be notified that it has been accepted and will be able to confirm payment.
