Neowin.net Nintendo Network IDs

Recommended Posts

Simple premise, put your ID down here, add others!

Keep in mind when registering friends on the WiiU using the built in Friend List - the other person won't receive a friend request, so you have to both add each other. To make it easier, consider adding them as a friend in Miiverse too. This allows you to send them a message, so you can tell them you've added them to your system friends list - and that you're from Neowin!

I did the same thing DL... y u no add?

I swear I did add, will check once Rayman is downloaded.

So especially since Rayman is out now, please anyone on Neowin who ownes one please add me as a WiiU friend so I have some friends for the Leaderboards. That tends to make me play better.

RobotRenegade

Quote this message so I can add you as well, that is the way friends work on WiiU I believe, we both have to add eachother.

Ok, I went and registered the following people, right now they are listed as "provisional friends," so need to add back.

WolfieZero

Labula

Routerbad

Kol028

Everyone else is already on my list. (Y)

Guys, you do realise that 3DS users can be added now too? So shouldn't someone update this thread's title to reflect this?

While they can add their names to the list here, you cant currently friend 3ds users via NNid on the 3ds.

The 3DS has a friend feature, so it's likely they will add the ability to do so in a future update. Also, you can still follow people in the 3DS version.

Wait, so if I wanted to add someone, say Larry, it wouldn't show up  on his list that he had a friend request waiting to be approved? ###### kind of system is that?

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
