Other than the square corners, nothing about Aero Glass in Windows 8 appears to be any different from Windows 7.

It appears bigger than the default theme in Windows 7, but perhaps having the buttons squared as well as the window borders just gives it that illusion.

Actually I love the fact that they squared everything. I hope it stays like that. I hate rounded borders on anything.

Agree 100%. I hate, hate, hate rounded corners. Mac OS X is the only OS I know of where they don't look like crap. I really hope the squares are here to stay. I'm going to hate it if they bring back the rounded corners by RTM.

And, as I pointed out in my own topic, I really like the improvements they made to Windows Basic. It was horrible in Vista and 7, but it looks great in 8. And it even takes advantage of the DWM! I would actually willingly use it over Aero Glass, since there is no performance penalty anymore and I really like its minimalism look.

and you go to the settings for them where lol

As easy as 12345 :p

  1. Open Weather Application
  2. Hover over the bottom left area
  3. Click Settings
  4. On right charm will open , choose weather settings
  5. Change to Deg Celsius :)

oh wow , i feel stupid now

didn't know that work differently on different application/pages

One big difference is that Aero works in vm's now!

Aero Glass has been supported in VMware Fusion since v3, so both Vista and 7 machines could have it.

The improved Windows Basic theme uses the DWM, though.

Lets flaunt our screenshots :p And its my request to you all that lets have this thread even for the beta , rc and then later stages, it will be nice to see how Windows 8 developed through time in this thread.

    • Depends on what you need. Might be a bit clearer on what you plan to do with it. Sort of a waste if you get the newest and greatest, but don't know how to use it.

    • Ah. La Fontana De Incontinentia ! Bella ! Bella !
    • Hi everyone, I'm planning a small network upgrade and was wondering how others prepare their networks for future needs. Do you usually invest in higher-speed switches and better cabling from the start, or do you upgrade only when necessary? I'd be interested in hearing what has worked well for you and any lessons you've learned over time. Thanks!
