Ive Just installed ICS on my Galaxy 2 and received two games, Parachute Panic and Archipelago which don't appear on my Installed list, are these a bonus with ICS and how do i remove them ?

Get root access if you don't have it already.

Install titanium backup.

Backup every file/program you wish to delete

Uninstall the programs you don't want.

Be happy

Just a little concerned that no one else appears to have them forced upon them, unless O2 decided to install them.

Regarding root, a little point in the right direction. Nothing fancy, no new OS etc for now, just unlocked.

Ta.

If you have any questions, ask before doing anything. Messing with root/recovery could brick your phone if not done correctly.

EDIT: This might work. Seems to be the best option.

My girlfirends S2 updated today with them as well...its cause your S2 is not an O2 S2...well not exactly...there is some bug that mean certain S2's (I think from non direct sources) like the carphone warehouse etc.. have the global version of android not an O2 specific version...cause o2 released the update 2 weeks ago, but only today have we finally been able to update hers (global update came out today) and she has these apps too.

I have the unbranded UK S2 which updated to ICS this week and I don't have these games. I don't use the Games Hub however, so it's possible the apps could have been installed for just Games Hub users, assuming it wasn't added on only the network specific versions.

It's not a bug, for some unknown reason Carphone Warehouse have their own S2 model (similar to how the network have their own models), receiving the same updates as the unbranded UK model. On some networks the early adopters also have the unbranded model, for example I got mine through Vodafone but bought it at release before they could customise the firmware to release their own model, so I got an unbranded one.

OK yeah will not a bug in the traditional sense...but buying an S2 on O2 from carphone warehouse for phones4u or whatever I expect it to be an O2 S2 and have update when O2 provides them.
