UPPER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Cumberland County, PA --—

Over $36,000 dollars worth of computers are damaged at a Cumberland County elementary school after a child is caught urinating on them.

It happened on Thursday at Upper Allen Elementary School located along the 1700 block of South Market Street in Upper Allen Township.

Police say an 11-year-old boy urinated on a computer cart in the hallway which contained several MacBook's.

All of the computers on the cart were damaged beyond repair, according to police reports.

The school put the loss at over $36,000 dollars.

The juvenile was turned over to the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.

He is facing several charges including criminal mischief and institutional vandalism.

He's old enough to have a clue what he's doing. He knows that computers are pretty damn valuable, and maybe he'll learn his lesson now.


...And maybe the school will learn not to buy macbooks for elementary school students now.

Tbf it's just the american way, it's it's broke don't repair it just chuck it out and get a new one.
Worked well in WW2, now-a-days it's an old stupid and very outdated system.

They're beat up old MacBooks, probably costs more to fix than they are worth, pitch em and get new ones

How exactly did it ruin them? I mean I would assume all the lids were closed. should of just ran down from the top down the side. Unless got in ports

I seriously dout he caused this much damage, the staff probably just wiped the urine off the side With some disinfectant and kept them for themselves

Your average Macbook cost around $1000, so the kid distoryed a total of 36 Macbook with one go. I find it hard to believe.

He was trying to cool them down, see they were overheating and he heard the news that google's servers at one of thier datacenters used **** water to cool the servers... so he thought he would be very helpful and cool them down in an eco friendly way.
