Recommended Posts

This is a remix of Lux Aeterna, a song by Clint Mansell for the 2000 movie Requiem for a Dream. More information about the song:

"Lux Aeterna" (Latin, Lux Aeterna: "the eternal light") is a composition by Clint Mansell, the leitmotif of a movie from 2000, Requiem for a Dream, and the penultimate piece in the Requiem for a Dream score. The popularity of this piece led to its use in popular culture outside the film, most notably in film and teaser trailers.

A version of the track was re-orchestrated with a choir and full orchestra for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer and was renamed "Requiem for a Tower". It was arranged by Simone Benyacar, Daniel Nielsen, and Veigar Margeirsson. Although never intended for release, after considerable demand by fans this piece was made available as part of the Requiem for a Tower album release from Corner Stone Cues. he Requiem for a Tower version served as the theme for Sky Sports' Gillette Soccer Saturday during 2008 and 2009.

The track gained some notoriety as it was cited by Anders Behring Breivik as being something he would play to help him prepare for the mass shooting on the Norwegian island of Ut?ya on 22nd July 2011.

If you have a subwoofer, all the better! The bass in this thing is legendary. Even the video is fantastic.

    • Tim Cook: "The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kinds of skills." What's the point of wasting time getting those skills if you can't get a job with them? Good Lord, maybe he and his cohort of CEO's who exported all these jobs to China should just shut the f**k up :D

Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
