Not sure what your talking about. The VM Superhub works very well, I've had no problems with it and got mine a few months ago.

It is a pile of turd even in modem mode from my experience.

Your experience does not resemble mine then, had zero problems with it. Have you tried it with the latest firmware? V5.5.2R30 ?

I have the latest firmware and can safely say mine is not that good, wifi issues, required reboots and only had it a few weeks. But it is fast :)

I was told that its amazing last night by friends and the fact i cant setup WPA2 and my Galaxy S2 phone is my fault and not the Superhub. Anyone had any luck setting it up with Galaxy S2 ? Ive only had it a few days but try as i may i couldnt set it up unless it was set to WEP, which is a no no.

R30 is almost a year old and still buggy. Are you using your Superhub in modem mode or as a modem/router? Try some heavy usage over wireless with up to 300Mbps mode and I'm sure you will run into trouble.

I've just been given one as i've upgraded to 30MB.. so far so good in wireless mode.

Only issue is only some torrents will download, others randomly fail, haven't worked it out yet..

can't you use it as a modem only and use your own router?

I can't belive, also that NETGEAR made the thing! VM must have done something to **** NETGEAR off or they botched it with thier crappy firmware!

We got a new one a week or two ago, wireless has been crap. Followed what others have said and turned it to modem only and using my old router. Has been a lot better so far.

Not sure what modem you're talking about, but if you mean the ambit 2050 ones then no, they're capable of 20Mbps

The Ambit VMDG300 should be capable of at least 155Mbit..

It is a belkin f5d7231-4p. Although I have now had to unplug it and go back to normal mode on superhub, as I couldn't connect in any browser(after a couple of hours of problem free browsing), but I could ping sites from command prompt.

Will sort this problem out tomorrow.

I've had this belkin for quite a few years now, with no problem. I had to upgrade to the Superhub the other week because I was having problems with internet. Since then my girlfriend (who is connected wirelessly) has commented on low signal strength. Plugged the old router back in and got excellent signal strength. Never tried a different router, but I think the latest problems are cable related.

Well, i've gone from 10mb to 30mb (for free) so not too bad, even with the problems so far.
