Judging from the screensaver icon on bottom right seems like the vista-7 icons are still there and they havent updated Windows Explorer etc with new metro icons. :(

Management of Microsoft Corporation today (July 31, 2012) notified its employees about what the final RTM version of Microsoft Windows 8 will be available for them to download and install tomorrow! ie, August 1, 2012 ("..... RTM version will be available tomorrow ......"), while corporate customers (MVLS) will have access to distributions from August 6 ... We have previously reported that Microsoft's employees have been given the keys to install the final version of Windows 8 RTM ...

This is Windows "re-imagined", except for the icons which are still shiny and 3D looking... :/

At this point there is no way they are replacing all icons with new ones. Work on Windows 8 will apparently finish soon so let's hope the icons are changed come Windows 9.

That's not a glass border.

I think that if Microsoft didn't want to create new icons they could have updated the icons that are still the same ones used in Vista. In Windows 7 many Vista icons were updated (like the control panel, windows explorer, calculator and wordpad icons, to name a few). Those do not look that bad in Windows 8 because they don't have the shininess and 3D look that the other icons have.

Great to hear that :)
Can't wait to see if they prepared anything new in the RTM build.

Think some guys might have guessed a new QFE code(minor build no.); but that was what happened:
