nintendo premium + Zombiu is ?329.00 @ amazon: http://www.amazon.co...47616108&sr=1-1

Game is charging ?259.99 and ?309.99 and ?349.99 with ZombiU: http://www.game.co.u...U_Header-_-Link

Play.com is charging the same as Game for each of the consoles.

wii u games on amazon are ?29.99-?44.99

the U.S prices for the consoles is $299 and $349 which would equate to ?185 and ?216 so we are paying a lot more. Taxes obviously vary between U.S and U.K.

?250 for basic? Something tells me nintendo think they're better than they actually are.

No doubt loads of people will still buy it though.

?250 for something 1.5x more powerful than a PS3 seems a fair price tbf.

Yeah but... It's not haha.

PS3 can output 3D whilst having 2 handhelds on the WiiU slows it down to 15FPS or something from what I remember reading.

A new X360 costs only ?135 on Amazon. Basically you're paying twice the price for something with a fraction of the games available, some of which may feature better graphics. Why pay twice the price for a current gen console? And Nintendo has yet to show that it can attract third party developers/publishers with mature games and a lot have already stated they're not interested in the Wii U.

The Wii U will appeal to casual gamers but it will struggle with core gamers, who will hold out for next-gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony.

30, which is still, pretty dire and not better than a PS3 (which scientists were using to run pretty large-scale mathematical computations on)

1 - it's still plently more powerful than a PS3.

2 - the 30 FPS limitation ONLY applies to the gamepad screen, not the TV, and is not a CPU / GPU limitation. That's because the gamepad streaming hardware on the Wii U only has enough bandwidth to reliably stream enough data for a consistent 60 FPS (with less latency than outputting video to a typical TV display), which gets shared between the two gamepads. The TV display could still be happily running at 60 FPS with two gamepads connected.

Also, these prices are stupid :p I've pre-ordered the ZombiU Deluxe version for ?295 at Zavvi at the moment, but I'm seriously hoping it drops another ?30-?40 before launch :/

You agree the prices are stupid, yet you pre-ordered anyway? Which is the more stupid? :p

Hey, I'm looking forward to actually playing it. I've become disillusioned with gaming with my 360 recently, so it's nice to have something fun and new and social to play with :p

Just, the Deluxe model in the US is $350 / ?215 pre-tax. The Deluxe model here is "apparently" ?250 pre-tax, that's already a ~$56 markup - and then you add the 20% tax which takes it up to ?299 (now $138 more), and you just want to facepalm yourself. Frankly it should have topped at ?270 post-tax for the Deluxe. I'm expecting the price to inevitably drive itself down before launch - and I've pre-ordered it from 4 different places now, so I'll just go with whatever is the cheapest come November. Eh, it's worth it :p

Should have topped out at ?199 for the top spec model. You can bet MS's next gen console will aim at that price point to undercut and seriously outspec it.

Also, what's the battery life on that huuuuuuuuge controller? 30 minutes? An hour?

    • iPhone 18 Pro drop-test video and photos leak on the dark web following a data breach by Hamid Ganji iPhone 17 Pro - Image via Apple Apple is seemingly facing one of the biggest data breaches in its history, and just a few months before the official debut of the iPhone 18 Pro series, photos, a drop-test video, a supplier list, and key phone components have reportedly been leaked by hackers. Last week, we reported that Tata Electronics, an Apple supplier and iPhone producer in India, was hit by a data breach. As a result, it was reported that more than 200,000 trade secrets and confidential documents belonging to Apple and Tesla were stolen by the ransomware group World Leaks. According to Reuters, the group has now leaked supplier lists, component details, and photos of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models on the dark web. One of the materials leaked by the hackers is a drop-test video of the iPhone 18 Pro, which is due to launch this September. The phone is shown in a gray color and has the same familiar design we saw on last year's iPhone 17 Pro series. The device also appears to be quite durable, though it seems to be thicker than last year's model. One possible explanation is that Apple may be using a larger battery in the iPhone 18 Pro series. Moreover, Reuters says it has seen at least six documents mapping many components in the iPhone 18 Pro models to their respective suppliers, including details on chips on the main circuit board and on battery and camera components. The documents reportedly detail hundreds of parts that will be used in the iPhone 18 Pro models. A person familiar with the matter told the outlet that Apple classifies this data as sensitive and “is concerned about the documents being shared on the dark web as they relate to unreleased models.” Apple is reportedly investigating the issue but has yet to issue an official statement.
    • You do you, I've just said that it first appeared in "home" version before it will be available in "work" one. I use Edge only because it still supports MV2 uBO extension even on Android - I'll switch when they stop.
    • I imagine that was a review or something? My reviews mostly contain a lot of images and galleries, but these are all webp too, but yeah it all adds up on the page load. Would help if you were more helpful with your critique instead of bitching and moaning like a Karen 😂 Because then we might be able to fix it for you.
    • If Valve refused to let them make the case, I wonder if they've already partnered with someone else to do it? The fact that they didn't seek permission/licence before diving straight in is incredible though
