Windows 8 File Sharing Issues

I put Windows 8 on a great number of machines now, but I am having issues accessing C drives on each. I use the same username/password on each machine and have advanced sharing enabled. I have shared out the C drive (since administrative shares are now a bust) and can only access the drives on certain machines, mainly 1 machine I upgraded form Windows 7 to Windows 8, but I can access the other drives on this machine. Any ideas?

if this doesn't get resolved, it will have to be through a SP or update

I was able to remedy the issue temporarily by adding *everyone* to the share permissions on the C Drive but I don't like the idea of that long term. Any other ideas?
