Windows Update page is sort of, GONE.

Recommended Posts

OS is Win 7 x64.

"Out of the blue", I cannot see anything on the Windows Update page. I changed icons with the Tango Patcher about 2 weeks ago, but all was fine until yesterday. See .gif and pic to understand better.

Sounds like the Windows Update components have been corrupted and might need to be re-registered. Usually it's spyware that would do that, but if you say it's just happened out of the blue (and you've had no other side effects), it's hard to see why that's the case.

I thought that maybe I could find a solution before running sfc /scannow. :D That is my last resort, as customized stuff will go down the drain if I do.

Malware is out of the question, I scan 2 times/day with Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware, I'll just check the error number, that is the thing that I didn't think of. Thanks everyone. :)

You can scan specific files rather than the entire system with sfc, or just run a check and not a repair etc

Some examples here

SFC solved nothing. The service is running and shows this instead of proper important/less important updates.

System Restore is off, I use Acronis (full backup of the C Drive), unfortunately the backup made 2 days ago has this bug in it.

EDIT: I'll remove the Icon Pack as last solution. If it fails, I need a new Windows install.

    • Shocker! It would be crazy to be ready to introduce a "fold" phone but have no plans happening for a followup model.
    • XBOX is at the end of its generational life cycle and wasn't selling much anyway. They need to figure out the pricing for XBOX Helios. However, I'm not buying the DRAM shortage with AI preferring HBM. I think it's industry gouging.
