win7 cannot enable updates for other microsoft products

Hello.

I just reinstalled win7 on a asus eeepc 1005pe. I modified the iso with rt7lite and removed some components (like multi-media in IE). I wanted to make it lighter, as this is a pretty crappy PC.

Anyhow. I installed, all is working fine. No bugs/problems, except for the fact I cannot enable updates for other microsoft products. When I click on 'find out more' nothing happens.. no response, does anyone has got this problem or know maybe the cause and how to fix it?

installing office did the trick. it asks you to change your update settings when finalizing the setup
