The new style is cleaner, which I can appreciate, but Google's new trend of leaving a ton of wasted space at larger resolutions is terrible.

I find it funny that if you read their web designer pages there is loads of stuff about being responsive/adaptive

i like the new layout and the new options allot (guide menu, shuffle and repeat buttons and more), but since i have a 1280x768 resolutions i never saw a problem; i now see that for bigger resolutions there's a waste space problem. Still, that's no biggie.

I guess I like it but the main problem is what many others have said about the alignment. The site should be center aligned.

Nah, it's fine. I don't like the user pictures on comments, or the guide thing, but really, I just go there to watch videos, and leave so I don't really care. Most of the time spent is in fullscreen anyway or staring at the video, so I don't pay attention to the layout.

i know, that alone makes the new layout so much more bearable

now i just need to find a way to get the light grey background of the old layout back to lessen the eyestrain of the pure white and it'll be perfect
