Kim Dotcom's new Mega storage service is live

Marking the anniversary of Megaupload's takedown, Kim Dotcom's new file storage service Mega is now live. The service, intended as a competitor to popular storage solutions such as Dropbox, is a simple, drag-and-drop storage solution with heavy encryption, intended to protect both users and the site's owners from copyright infringement issues. Users will receive a complementary 50GB of storage on Mega's servers, and the service offers a slew of other paid tiers. For €9.99, €19.99 or €29.99, users can get 500GB, 2TB, and 4TB of cloud storage, and these tiers allow users to share their files with more people.

As cool as this is, how many of you are wondering how long your stuff will stay available until something goes wrong?

I really don't want to knock this, I know Im being a geek, but we are all thinking this right, its not just me?
